1)  Breckenridge Sledding at Carter Park

Overview:  The town of Breckenridge features a walk-up, ride down sledding hill at Carter Park.  Kids, adults and dogs all enjoy a short walk up the former ski slope, followed by a good ride down. The park is located at the south end of High Street and adjacent to Breckenridge Elementary School.  Carter Park in Breckenridge,  Colorado.

Directions: From Main Street in Breckenridge, go east on Lincoln Street for 4 blocks, then turn right on High Street and follow it 3 for blocks.  High Street dead ends at Carter Park, with plenty of parking available.

Sorry: There are no rentals available at Carter Park.  Snow tubes and sleds are available for purchase at the City Market and Food Kingdom grocery stores in town - as well as other retail establishments on Main St.

Sleigh Rides

Breck Stables http://breckstables.com/index.html operates Peak 9 Dinner Sleigh Rides out of Peak 9's base parking lot ($89 adults, $60 kids 4-12). From there, it whisks guests up in small, handmade Amish sleighs that only hold 10 people. Once visitors arrive at 10,500 feet in elevation, they move into a yurt, decorated with Christmas lights, candlelight and Western artifacts. There is a Western guitar singer.  No alcohol is served on this ride but you can bring a bottle of wine for dinner (BYOB). During summer, people can ride on horseback to a tent for breakfast and dinner.

Dog Sledding and Snowmobiling

This is a really fun activity for the whole family.  You get to mush and the dogs are incredible.
